$300 for this hotel is like paying $75 for a loaf of bread. Run down, not well kept at all, worn out, and I paid for a King sized bed and got a Queen. I am a Platinum Member with Marriott, and supposed to be on the top floor so I can hear the heard of elephants above me. One of the perks of being Platinum Level. I got the basement. Not even the 1st floor. I asked about the top floor and even the King Bed, and was told they were sold out. I booked the room 3 months ago. I would sleep in the car before paying $300 for this place again.

I was given a room upgrade, A handicapped equipped room, I am not handicapped. Upon entering, leftover takeout food containers were in the refrigerator, the room temp The first night was 95°- I tried turning the air/heat/fan off and it continued to run all night long. my morning shower consisted of the handicapped equipped bench falling down every minute and the hand held shower sprayer turned on and sprayed all over the floor, night 2 my room temp was 62°, I said some thing to front desk they said it would be fixed. That night my room temp was 60° along with for the third day in a row there was zero parking available on the hotel premises, I had to park two blocks away at a paid meter and walk by myself in the dark in a sketchy part of downtown Olympia, I called my corporate travel partner and asked for another hotel, upon check out no one even bothered to ask why I was leaving 10 days early.

At a baseline, it's Marriott, which for me means consistently comfortable beds and clean, modern, professional feeling decor. A few minor issues I had - the kitchen (it's an extended stay so it has full features) had crumbs in a few of the cupboards and drawers, a lot of the silverware had food caked on it, and there was a sticky stain and hairs in the bathroom. The parking lot did not have security cameras or lighting at night, and the neighborhood felt a little sketchy to me.

We chose this hotel specifically for the kitchen area and Having separate living room. Everything about the stay was perfect. We utilized the kitchen for 90% of our meals that saved us hundreds of dollars and made coming back from all day hiking trips relaxing. We went to Trader Joe’s to get groceries and cooked easy, quick, cheap meals. The bed was comfortable and wonderful to lay in after hiking all day. The separate living room was great (along with hotel provided pack-n-play) so our 18 month old could sleep alone, not in bed with mom and dad. I will be looking for Townplace Suites for all future vacations!

pretty much anything you would want. Bread (and a toaster), bagel, pastries. Oatmeal, cold cereal, milk, juices, coffee, tea. Also cheese, hard boiled eggs, yogurt. Hot dishes usually consist of some type of egg (omelet, scrambled) and a meat or two. Waffle maker and fixings too
