If I could give negative stars I would! Coming from a caregivers view of this whole situation it is a joke! They are more concerned with the mothers rehabilitation than the child’s actual well being! I’m all for reunification and I pray the mother gets her self together but she has proven time and again the only reason she wants the child is so she can continue to live of the governments assistance! She’s given up her oldest so why does she deserve to have the youngest I didn’t know we could pick and choose which kids we want to keep or pawn off on people! Not to mention they DO NOT work with the caregivers what so ever! I messaged the caseworker over a month in advance that we needed to change a scheduled visit when it came time for that visit I contacted them to make sure it was still okay and was informed I didn’t give them enough notice to change the visit (how is a month notice not enough time) but then when we get an approved visit that I made sure was on the schedule for months they message me the week of stating they can’t do the scheduled visit on Monday it has to be moved to Friday the same week! So me giving you a months notice is not enough time but you giving the caregiver a weeks notice well not even a week a 4 day notice is acceptable ? So their goal is all about unification and helping the parents but what about the caregivers that are raising these children? We take them to doctors visit and comfort them when they are sick, call off work to be able to make sure they are taken care of and okay while the parents get a 2 hour visit that they spend posting on Facebook instead of spending it with their child?! Spending their money on themselves not even worried about bills or rent cause you live in a rehab. But let’s make the caregiver call off work and potentially lose their job to make a 2 hour visit happen when all they do is sit on their phone? Let’s reunify this child to their mother and have another child raised on government assistance but make the caregiver lose their job and their source of income and means of living in the process! This system is a joke !

You'll have to go and talk to someone in person.

Is there anywhere or any agency in Knox County that can help a family afford medication for a child? He has been diagnosed by a doctor but apparently the parents cannot afford the medication. It has to do with ADHD type medication.
