I can’t say enough wonderful things about this practice. Dr Golla is so personable and caring. My toddlers actually look forward to their appointments to see her! She’s always listen to all of my concerns and taken them seriously. The nurses are all awesome as well. I’ve called the nurses’ line plenty of times and they’ve been so helpful. Front desk ladies are also super sweet and kind. Overall great place.

Building blocks is an absolutely outstanding practice. Buckle in, this is going to be a lengthy review. My son started seeing Dr. Laura Philips Chou in September of 2021. She, and a couple of the other providers in the practice, along with the wonderful nurses/coordinators/front desk help, have taken absolute wonderful care of my son. But I just have to call out just how detail oriented and cautious Dr Philips truly is. Not only does she genuinely love seeing the kiddos come in and ensure they’re hitting milestones and giving compliments on just how cute they are, but she’s also actively saving lives. My sons head circumference spiked between his 9 and 12 month well child checkups. She came in and remeasured his head a solid 5 times before bringing up the possibilities. She let us know he could just have a big head, but she was most worried about the possibility of fluid building because of an underlying cause. Before letting us go she gave me a giant list of symptoms to watch for, an action plan to prevent any major damage, and a visit for 4 weeks after to recheck the circumference. Because of her diligence and list of symptoms we knew exactly when to bring my son straight to nationwide childrens for additional testing before that next checkup. My son was diagnosed with a brain tumor and hydrocephalus due to the position of the tumor. The doctors here have said if we hadn’t known the signs and symptoms and hadn’t been advocating and looking we could’ve woken up one day and his heart had just stopped from all the pressure in his brain. Because Dr Philips was diligent and cautious, we potentially saved my sons life and caught it early enough to have a hopeful prognosis. Everyone in the practice has been incredibly supportive, stopping by the hospital to see us, calling for checkups and updates and keeping us in their thoughts and prayers. I will forever be thankful for choosing building blocks and Dr Philips to be my sons primary physician. Long story short, do yourself a favor and choose this practice and Dr Philips in specific to be your child’s doctor. You won’t regret that decision. Thank you Dr Philips Chou!!! 💙💛
