I am posting this review anonymously as I do not want my name publicly displayed, but I did indeed receive individual therapy at MindWell this past year. Please note that many of the Google reviews for MindWell are written by professional colleagues, not actual patients. From the start, I did not feel heard by my therapist. In the $500 brief intake appointment, I was clear about the type of individual therapy I desired; however, I did not receive it. I constantly reminded my therapist of the issues I wanted to work through, yet we never got to most of them. Expensive group therapy sessions were quickly suggested, in my opinion, as an additional way to receive money from me. Group therapy was the last thing I needed and I just simply wanted what I was asking for. In addition, she canceled appointments often and never attempted to reschedule. In my experience, all MindWell really cared about was my money---and not my well-being. It saddens me that all I wanted was to improve my mental health, but instead I am left feeling alone and used.
Highly professional, quality setting, with practitioners who are experts and experienced in CBT/DBT. Vey well run practice!
Incredible practice with incredible people
As a professional in the field who works with children and adolescents, I highly recommend Mindwell. They are my go to for any DBT referral as they adhere to the DBT protocol which research has proven to be highly effective in treating emotional dysregulation. The staff are well trained with evidenced based approaches not only in DBT but in CBT and ACT. Besides excellent training, their staff have a great clinical sense and really do care. They work hard to merge effective therapy with the needs of their clients. Highly recommend to anyone interested in evidence based treatment.
