Yes they ARE open And you should know Swimming is allowed in Sessions Ex; 11am - 2 or 3 PM till 6 Depending on need. If it begins to rain they will CLEAR the pool as it is unsafe to swim in those conditions. However, if it's a passing shower, they DO reopen

I've never seen any grilling done, but I've seen people bring readily cooked items as well as beverages, sandwiches, etc. The pool area is very close and can be seen from any area of the park.
