My overall experience with Himalayan driving school was a good one. I had taken about 25 classes being a beginner or a new learner. I believe for a beginner, these no. of classes are required. My instructor was Parvez, he is a patient and skilled instructor and guided me well with smooth driving, taking proper turns, parking and U-turns. My last two class just before the test was with Forhad, who taught me some good tricks for parking which turned out really helpful. I would like to thank Parvez, Forhad and Himalayan driving school to help me get the driving license.

Passed on my first try! Had no experience driving prior to taking these classes. My instructor Shaheda was wonderful and she made sure I got enough practice at things I was weak at. Very calm and patient. Ladies at the front desk were also very nice and helped find times that fit my schedule. Definitely recommend!

Shaheda is the best! I passed my road test yesterday after taking 9 lessons with her. She is very calm and patient even though I had a lot of questions. Also They are very flexible in terms of rescheduling classes. 🫶🏻 thank you!!

Quick note: The office is on the fourth floor of a building. Its one of those areas with business offices stacked one on top of another. Review: Overall this is a very good school. I had 5 lessons with the school. The 5 Hour certificate course was annoying because the instructor went on random rants and made political remarks here or there. The message got across though, but it could have honestly been 3 hours. Beyond that the cars were all electric cars so no old vehicles here. I ended up switching my instructor to Mohamad because my original instructor was very confusing. There was a slight language barrier, but that wasn't that much of an issue the first two lessons. He was very knowledgeable, but he would give me instructions that contradict from one lesson to the next. He also was too hand holdy. Mohamad on the other hand was efficient, let me drive very well, and only took control when absolutely necessary(like when multiple people were just cutting in and out of traffic with no signals). The secretary was very kind and helpful. The package prices are fair, and they even drive you round trip to the site you take your road test(Assuming you don't pick something in like Long Island or something).

If you know driving, well prepared for road test then Very honestly it doesn’t not matter where is your Test location ? If you’re not prepared it’s almost certain that you will fail the road test wherever you go. Then you will say the road test location isn’t good, roads are narrow or to much crowded or lot of car was coming. , , Dmv Inspector was not good 🚘 but Best thing is before going to road test asked yourself- did I practice enough to pass my Road Test? Am I familiar with the rules of the road? Remember actual road test will be in normal road not any special field or office. So there could be School bus 🚌 or big truck coming or some one double park in your way etc. thanks
It’s varies student to student 👩🎓. We all know all human being isn’t the same. Some student are nervous , some has a driving phobia etc. if someone never drove but serious to learn driving then they should practice 15-20 hour before their road test
It’s not mandatory but it’s good to take a lesson before road test. The driving school Instructor can show you exactly what you should do in Road Test or what should not do? The other country rules and New York State rules are not the same, Parallel Park, three point turn, stop 🛑 sign and other thing you may not understand. It’s really important to take a lesson before road test
Yes the instructor will teach you the core part of test so I would recommend to take at least 1 even you are a pro So that you could complete in one try
5 driving lesson (each lesson 45 minutes) $200. Thanks
300 to 450 dollars. This included 5 driving classes, rush driving test date, and fee for car for the driving test.
Not sure about the owner. But the staff speaks English, Hindi, and Bengali, if that helps! They may have a tutor who could talk Nepalese or Tibetan. Just give them a call!
