Are you looking for a library where you WON'T get work done? Are you interested in overhearing conversations about pineapple lanterns and ceramics from the very people who run this place? Or maybe you're looking to find out what volume is necessary on your earbuds to drown out the sounds of others talking in loud excess? Well, this is the place! Malverne Public Library wins #1 on Long Island for being the most inconvenient place to study or read a book! You have staff who are so unaware of their own volume and surroundings that you'll surely get distracted from what you're doing! You'll also be pleased to find out that according to the Public Order policies on the website, that the staff and other patrons really enjoy violating several of the rules, including: --Singing or talking to others or in monologues; --Behaving in a manner which reasonably can be expected to disturb other persons; --Raising of voices or excessive talking in the Library which interferes in other Library patrons’ quiet use and enjoyment of the Library facility; If any of the above resonate with you and really get you thinking "Yeah, this is the one!" then you're going to find yourself right at home at the Malverne Public Library! Unfortunately, everything above just simply isn't what I'm looking for in a library, so I guess my search for a quiet space to study continues!
