A wonderful place to find peace and serenity nustled in the hills of Putnam County and just a short distance from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Ever since I was a little girl, I have been coming to this mountain for various reasons. My birthname, Bernadette, has always made me curious about God, his saints and those who do his work, so whenever my mother would tell me we were going to Graymoor I would always get excited. That feeling has never left me, even still, as an adult. So, when I was traveling North from Texas to NY, I told him we had to stop and pray here, for sure and we did. I am so glad we did. My personal patron Saint has always been Saint Anthony of Padua. The patron saint of the lost; because well, I've always felt a little lost in life and he seems to be well versed in how to ask God in all the right ways to help me get back to where I need to be at any given time. Being at Graymoor is like taking a spiritual shot of religious alcohol-(with no negative hangover!) it just infuses you in all the good ways and makes you feel whole again. We didn't talk much to other people when we were there, though we honestly were just there to pray quietly together. We did hand out some smile cards and try to pass along positivity to others who seemed to enjoy our energy! We hope to visit again soon and attend mass. Much love to those who maintain and keep this place going, thank you, God bless you all. ❤️ I'll be attaching some pics. The beautiful Crucifix on Rt.9 (we arrived at night and came back the next day), Some of myself and my doggie praying at the St. Anthony Shrine and my doggie feeling relaxed and at peace on the memorial walkway. Enjoy! We love you, Graymoor! ❤️❤️❤️

Talk to one of the sisters. They're angels and mild mannered. I visited with pilgrims yesterday, it was fun! Also purchased souvenirs and chatted with the two of them in the gift shop.
Thanks for your donations they are deeply appreciated.
