I have been going to see Mark Lejsek at Family Psychiatry of the Woodlands for 12 years now. Mark truly saved my life then and has successfully maintained my quality of life ever since. I drive two hours to get to this office, and would not consider any other option. Life for me and my family is just better with these services.

While the licensed providers seem to be good, the office staff appears to be very prejudiced against patients whom they deem to be "not worthy" of help. This is evidenced in their refusal to pass messages to the licensed providers, their repeated cancelation of appointments agreed upon by the patient and licensed provider in the office, and their practice of scheduling appointments outside of clinic operating hours. Attempts to communicate with the licensed providers so they can provide resolution to these issues has also been blocked by the office staff. Suggest you look elsewhere for care.

I saw a provider last October and though she provided me with some meds I was very uncomfortable with her and felt less than welcomed in her office. I am severely struggling with my issues and requested to see a different provider(one that several friends see and like) last week and was told that I would have to have it approved by the office coordinator so I left a voicemail but didn’t get a call back that day. I called back this morning crying and begging to actually talk to a person not a voicemail and was basically told I’m SOL til she calls me back. They are in charge of assisting people with their mental health and that is a very dangerous thing to toy with. They should be ASHAMED. Not to mention I pay for my own healthcare and I get to decide who I see not an office coordinator who doesn’t know me from Adam. Poor practices, lacks care of people who need their help most. To add to this. Prior to posting my husband and o both talked to someone (not the office coordinator, they refused) and was told fine I could see dr so and so or so and so but not who I wanted to see because he had no availability even though I was told Friday he had plenty of availability this week once the provider change had been granted. They are clearly in this for the money and NOT the health and well being of their patients. Very poor practice.

As a mother getting help for your mental health can be a very daunting task. But I would recommend this office to anyone. I have never had such a great experience with a psychiatrist. Nike listened to me and truly made me feel comfortable and heard. The office staff is great as well. They promptly returned phone calls and quickly got me in for my first appointment. If you need help, this is definitely the place to go.

No It was my 1st activist March and Rally On the steps in ATX, after I went thru my 1st Texas Advocacy leadership Conference. Where they had taught us how to speak to legislators regarding bills that were important to us. We learned how to have concise personal h a points ready when we only had a couple minutes to make our voice heard and also how to get Communities involved and to make sure and get 10 calls or more so that we could get a bill on the calendar and how the process works I learned a lot and I did not know that I would get two opportunity to speak so it was totally spontaneous and whatever I said the crowd agreed. Dr. Lucas has always thanked me for my advocacy 4 IDEA 4 in public schools .Then I graduated to activist with non-violent direct action with www.adapt.org I volunteered to be arrested in Washington, D.C with Broken shoulder in 2009.
