The Mazzoni family made the passing of my grandmother much less painless for me. I was afraid to leave my grandmother even after her death because I didn’t know how she would be treated, but Paul and Dillon took away my fears that I had even for years prior because I knew the day would come and there would be a huge hole in my heart. I felt at ease and I knew I could trust them with leaving my grandmother in their hands. You can’t go wrong with an Italian family owned funeral home and crematory. You can tell in their voice when you call how sincere and trustworthy they are. They will help you, they will talk to you, they will calm your fears and reassure you in your time of grief. I had called a few times during my grandmas transition phase and they treated me just like family and spent time with me on the phone even when I wasn’t thinking clearly.

I'm unable to recommend Island Cremations.. First off the way that they interact with customers comes across as insincere. Our first visit was ok however I don't know that I personally appreciate the way that Paul interacts. But the most upsetting and unacceptable thing that they did was when we went to collect mom's ashes. They called us and told us we had to get there within 30 minutes to deliver the urns to them. They had another service going on so we didn't want to interrupt that and so waited outside. They then brought the urns to us outside and had my father sign for them on the bench outside. I was so shocked and in disbelief over this. We had paid for their services just like everyone else and to be treated like that was very upsetting. I know they had another service going on and that we were asking them to help us get this taken care of quickly due to planned travel but they could have at least brought us to the consulting room in the back. This only reinforced my feelings of insincerity that we were just a business transaction to them.
