As a Cold War and SAC Veteran, i was astonished by the amount of history, knowledge by staff, and exhibits are present. More importantly, people need to come experience and learn how essentially and deeply fought and won, the Cold War was. It is vitally important for the generation born at the end of, and the current generation to learn, touch, and see this history, and learn from it. Not just an internet search, so these future leaders can actually UNDERSTAND what was , and sadly, currently involved with America's security. If we don't learn from history, we're doomed to repeat it. I could have spent a full day there.

Outstanding collection. They opened up on a weekday for myself, husband and a friend; so we did pay a nominal donation. But well worth it.

The best parts of this private museum are the actual historical location and the volunteer staff who have a rich background in the subject. The small physical space constrains how much interpretation can be crammed into the historical site itself, but they do their best. Although the museum has no restaurant, there are restaurants literally adjacent so no one will go hungry in the course of visiting.

Not particularly, no. The building is quite small and jam packed with tremendous amounts of history, but that does make it quite a tight squeeze at times, plus there are two levels, and only stairs. This in mind, they do have incredibly eager staff who I'm sure would be more than happy to step outside and talk about the museum, or talk with a disabled patron in the nearby Covert Cafe. That is, however, only my guess.

Is the museum pet friendly?
