First time exploring this place with my family. My two kids enjoyed it a lot. Very peaceful. I love the sound of the river as we walked. We saw frogs, birds, a rabbit, and a wild pig. Very muddy as it rained a few days ago. Not too many mosquitoes as other places. We did our yearly cardio today!!!! :)

If you want a wonderful little hike that is beautifully on the river this is the one It's peaceful there are so many things in nature to see, rabbits birds, butterflies, fish,I have also seen many tracks 👣 of so many different animals. It has three docks and right next to it they have a very nice camp ground very well maintained area It's a $1.00 an hour check it out It's my favorite park 😍

Toni bat i just got back from there was told to go ahead. Trails are actually in great shape and to my surprise not wet. The northern part is the only part closed the guy told me. There were 2 other cars there with bike racks. As far as the trails go, i liked them. Kind of reminds me of Amelia Earhart in Miami minus the rugs. The advance trails were not bad and there were a few really nice challenging climbs. This park is perfect for getting in shape. Parts of it flowed really well. I'll be visiting again on a weekly basis weather permitting. I recently moved to the area and this park is not far. (Between LaBelle and Clewiston)
The North Side trails are closed (mountain bike trails). Didn't see any indication of any other trail closures though.
Not at the park
I'm sorry. I live in S FL. Your best bet is to call the park to get the correct answer.
The state is widing the creek for water run off storage. Half bike paths gone not so much a fun riding place anymore. Shame !
Yes at the bathroom. There is a charger by the sink. Besides that, no Jj Rr. And there's light at the bathroom as well!!!
You can pay online wyou have to be there before the gate closes at 7 but if you get there and nobody's in the office they will be around in the morning so don't worry about it it's easier in cash as well also bring some extra cash they do have one fore wood available I believe it's two pieces good size pieces for a dollar. Also another note if you have two vehicles and you need to leave you can drive one of the other vehicles up to the gate to let them back in but you didn't hear that from me
The only park designated for biking is the north park. Which the last of the 3 parks heading from Alva west on river rd. It is also on the north side of N. River Rd. It has roughly 10 miles of trails as well as a bmx track area..
All they have are a few pavilions and a restroom along with some trails. If you are having a very small wedding I guess you would be all right.
Yes
Yes.
Should be fine as long as the trails are not disturbed.
Moo
Sorry, I'm not sure. Usually I'll call, if they don't answer I'll try again 15-20 minutes and usually get someone on the phone by the 3rd time.
I saw signs stating no swimming - I wouldn't with the state of the river currently. No dogs allowed.
The website will update as to any trail closures. If it's open i don't recommend runners on trail as it will be busy with bikes. From the website "This park features 768 acres of pine flatwoods, scrub oak, cypress swamps, and oak hammocks. Crossing through them, you'll find over 20 miles of hiking, mountain biking, and equestrian trails. The north side of the park is designated for mountain biking and horseback riding. The south side of the park has hiking trails, fishing pier, a floating dock, and the primitive campground"
I live up river so I go by boat and no one has ever mentioned any fees but I'd gladly pay the fees mentioned above. Very well worth it.
I don't have much luck fishing. What would be the best bait for there ?
10 miles. But this includes the expert sections. There are different spots in the trail that you can head back to the parking lot for a shorter route
Did the park open after the hurricane Irma? Is the park opened today?
