Poorly managed, significant issues with the trash and recycling area

Hello! My name is Brandon and I am a current resident at this apartment complex. I usually hold off on writing reviews about places till 3-5 months and what triggers it is something phenomenally bad will happen and not be handled properly, but in this case, it's been two years and nothing of the sort... I can report that I've been living here, happily, for a little over two years and have had very very minor issues. We are actually about to resign our lease for the third time. The office manager/lord of the lands, Rebecca McDonald, has been amazing and great to us. For a while, she was doing a lot alone and still had time for our silly needs/random complaints that had little to do with the apartment and more to do with USPS. Going on year 2, I see a new face, Rice, in the leasing office and he seems to compliment Rebecca very well and also has the same drive to assist and help the tenants. I can say that I'm happy to have him as a resource as well. Also, don't want to leave anyone out. There's a new maintenance manager named Bobby and he is amazing. We had a bit of an issue with our washer and Bobby had to order several parts to diagnose it but eventually discovered the whole system was buggered. Originally, they told me it would take like a week to come but Rebecca managed to get one sent the next day and Bobby had it installed the day after on very short notice. It was so cool. It's things like that that keep you wanting to stay so I hope anyone who is looking at reviews gives this a glance and it helps them decide. Well, peace and you know where to find me.

Rice is a lifesaver. I toured with Rice and Rebecca months prior to moving but unfortunately the timing was not right for me. However, Rice still kept in contact and the moment a unit was available they have done nothing but go above and beyond for us. Rice broke down everything and walked me through the move in process very easily. I have moved to 3 different apartments in the last 3 years this experience has been the best. They are the only staff that have treated me more like a friend rather than a tenant customer. They really looked out for me in my best interest and honestly I would resign my lease in a heartbeat. Jose and Stacy also always make sure I am good to go. This maintenance staff is great and friendly. Highly recommend this community.

Moved in last week and so far very happy. Rebecca is friendly and responds quickly to any requests. The apartment is spacious, including lots of cabinets and closet space. Despite some summer heat, the central air is keeping us cool. Also, it is pleasantly quiet. I'm on the first floor but don't seem to hear any neighbors above or to the sides. My favorite part might be the location, which is walking distance to Giant grocery and a nearby farmer's market. So far I'd definitely recommend Potomac Square Apartments - great value & friendly staff.
