Service was great but the food was lacking. The real issue is that they charge an additional 3% to use a card in an environment when business still have trouble making change for cash transactions. Would have been nice to know before arriving at the register to pay. I’d recommend a sign at the entrance. The cashier also failed to notify me, I just happened to notice an additional charge was keyed into the register when paying. Additional comment post response: Proving my point with your response rather than taking feedback from your patrons doesn’t help keep the doors open. I hope for the employees sake you adjust your business practices or your ship will sink, pun intended. I run multiple businesses in this environment. Gouging customer at the register after service has already been provided has never crossed my mind, nor should it. It’s obviously not helping your cause. Short-term gains in exchange for losing customers for life with these practices? You’re literally picking up pennies in front of a steam roller. If you think things are bad now, wait until inflation picks up and people are even more selective where they spend their money. Do better.

This may be one of my favorites out of all the Mayflower restaurants. It was spotless, the staff was quick and friendly, and the food was perfect. Hot and crispy and they were able to accommodate my mom who is on weight watchers. They even had great recommendations for where to go thrifting when we were done!

They do a really good job here. I've been to the Rural Hall Mayflower Seafood multiple times and each visit was a pleasant experience. From what I can tell this restaurant does a lot of business and somehow it doesn't take them long to prepare your order. Fast service. On top of that, the food is very good and they tend to give you a good helping as well. I also love the fact that when they bring out your meal they ask you to open the box to ensure the accuracy of the order. I'll keep coming back due to their excellent service and next time I'll probably sit down and eat so that I can experience their dining room for the first time. :)

NY strip steak special. Cooked perfectly didn't even need steak sauce. Service was great. Highly recommend and will be back. Same name as the chain but was told it was independently owned. Food and service much better than the chain locations.
