I don't like to give bad reviews. I always like to provide an opportunity for others to correct their mishandling of a situation and make things right. However, that has not occurred in this situation. As a woman and a mother, it is important for me and my family to feel some form of safety at my residence. I have resided at Brompton House since 2017. Overall, my experience has been somewhat favorable. That all changed on 8/20/2022. While in the fitness center, I was verbally assaulted by a male tenant and their male guest for turning on the light in the center. Yes, you have read that right. I turned on the light in the fitness center to safely use the fitness equipment. As a result, I was verbally assaulted and my physical space was violated. I sought help from the Property Manager, Scott. The handing of the situation by Scott, was poor and disgraceful. He presented as very nonchalant and dismissive. His response showed my safety did not matter and was no concern of his. It also showed that the behavior of the tenant and their guest was acceptable, as there were no consequences to their behavior. Both gentlemen were able to remain in the fitness center with no consequence for their behavior. Poor behavior do not get rectified if there are no consequences for it. Their corporate office was also notified. No response was received for over a week until another representattive was obtained to act on my behalf. When a response was received, it was quite offensive considering what I experienced and the amout of time it took to even get a response. After reading other reviews on this property, I am not surprised on the handling of my incident. I would proceed with caution when thinking of calling Brompton House your home under this current management. Update: During a recent visit to the Leasing Office, the Property Manager, Scott, let me know he read this review. He expressed feeling like he did all that he could at the time. He also stated he was not the Police. His remarks continued to remind me of his nonchalant, dismissive, and uncaring response furthering my trauma. Although he is not the Police, he, as the Property Manager, has the ability to enforce the rules and regulations outlined and posted in the fitness center. He did not. The fact that he still does not understand this is of grave concern.

I’ve been a resident for a little under a year and have not had many interactions with the property management office. However, when I finally had to contact the property manager, he was extremely nonchalant and uncaring of my issues and concerns. If you are looking for a community in which the property manager genuinely has the residents best interest in mind, this is not the place for you. Prior to moving in, I read several reviews regarding discriminatory behavior and as an African American woman decided to give them a try because the property was well maintained and my interaction with the leasing team went well. However, my experience and interactions with Scott have been different. He indeed comes off very dismissive and uncaring of your concerns. He gives a simple sorry to hear that for every scenario with no real concern to provide a resolution. It is rather sad and disappointing to have to consider the behavior as discriminatory but it would be hard to believe that he’s still in this position if it’s just how he is with everyone. Counting down the days to the end of my lease

We almost moved here, and I was very excited about it as it was the best place I saw after hitting the pavement for a few weeks in search of the nicest place for the best price. Working with Jonathan, and a little with Malia set the tone for the experience and solidified my decision to put a hold on a great apartment as soon as I saw it. My boyfriend and I ultimately decided to take a place we found in Annapolis as he wanted to live in a townhouse/house rather than an apartment and was more familiar with Annapolis. I scoped out a lot of places to help convince my boyfriend to move out of Baltimore and this was a winner as far as apartments go. The professionalism and friendliness of staff, as well as overall offerings and upkeep of the property set Brompton House apart from everything else we saw.

The rent is high for a two bedroom, two bathroom for this area, but I still think it is a good value because the community has great amenities, the maintenance is swift, the whole place is clean and well maintained from the grounds to the hallways, the valet trash and inside the apartments when they are handed over. I have a unit that has some windows facing a play area and trees and it is absolutely wonderful in the morning time, so the value of that is hard to quantify, but I really appreciate it and consider the higher rent price to be worth the money. I also appreciate the spacious tub and light in our home with 5 windows that face the rising sun, allowing for lots of light in the morning. The rental staff, especially Malia, have been very friendly and accommodating and responsive. I also like the prompt automated emails that notify me if a package is delivered. Overall, great value for the price at this property.
