Went through the entire application process just be told I don’t have representation…..my court date is coming up and they wasted my time. I call the office and everyone has an attitude. Like they’re being forced to work their. Deborah sergi actually hung up on me for asking a question about my case……don’t go there! Represent yourself if you have to.

I tried to call the office to make an appt for a friend. And they have a generic message to call during "normal" buisness hours and they close at 4:30pm but I called at 3:30pm. Going to ask my friend if they rather my 4yr old to rep him because even he knows that 3:30pm is before 4:30pm. What a waste!

Very Nasty-attitude and impatient women, not patient, with public questions, very unkind and clearly don't want to help the public. I see why people get in debt to have paid lawyers. MD do better. Office reboot needed. Supervisor is worse she assumes everyone is aware of law, Ma'am not everyone interacts with law 24/7.

No. The OPD does criminal work, CINA, involuntary commitment. Non-support in some cases maybe. You might want to call Legal Aid or look up Maryland Volunteer Lawyer Services. The local law schools also have clinics for some areas of the law.
Put you in where
200 Washington ave in Towson it very easy
They won't answer. You have to go down to the office & speak to them in person. They than will provide you information & who to call
Downstairs to the court house bottom floor
Yes, that's exactly who your supposed to get it from!!!
No, they do not do civil lawsuit.
There is no public defender for life insurance. The OPD does criminal defense, CINA, I *think* some non-support cases, and involuntary commitment. You might want to call Legal Aid or look up Maryland Volunteer Lawyer Services. EDIT TO ADD: HERE is the website for MD Volunteer Lawyers Services: https://mvlslaw.org/ According to the website, they cover a variety of legal areas and provide brief legal answers during specific times.
