This place is horrible if you want your family member to live I suggest you look somewhere else. The staff takes turns sleeping doing their shifts. My mom was remove but the ambulance Aug 7, 2022 by my family. When the staff proceed to check her vitals the machine was broken the staff went to the other side to receive a another machine and that machine was broken also the staff had to go on a different floor to get a working machine to check my mother vitals. My mom arrive at the ER she was suffering from dehydration. My mom feet was purple also. They need to SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN!!!!!!!!!.

Deanwood is the worst place to send your love one. They lie give up false information and hope. No one can ever give you a straight answer. If I could give them 6 negative stars I would definitely do so.

I have visited this retirement home every 4 months for 2 years now. I am consistently impressed with the attentive and polite staff. The residents are varied in age and mental “with-it-ness” but they all seem healthy. It’s certainly not cheery, but this is understandable considering they are managing the aged and mentally vulnerable. They have various floors and levels of care management. They have less managed residents and then some in the 24/7 round-the-clock floor to care for residents who need constant assistance. The dining room offers decent food and restaurant style service. It’s not going to compete with any local restaurant on yelp, but it gets a passing grade. Their real skill set (as it should be) is in its care of the residents. The facility is consistently clean, and in good repair. No large scuffs or stains which can make a place feel drabby. The staff can be found throughout. I have never had to search more than 10 steps before encountering someone to help. They smile and chitchat and know my relatives names and even some facts about each. They are not only courteous but trained to greet every person with eye contact and a how-do-you-do. I am very impressed and I only hope that I find myself in a facility as nice as this when it’s my turn. Your work is appreciated Deanwood

Deanwood is an amazing place for a loved one. I moved my mother from another facility in Arlington (I had a lot of trouble at that other facility) to Deanwood and she has thrived there. The staff at Deanwood is not only fully trained and professional, but they have a heart and truly care for their residents. I am amazed each day by their dedication, caring and passion towards excellent care for our loved ones. They treat my family like their own family. My mom is their mom! I can sum this up with "Wow" and thank you to the entire Deanwood team for helping my mom and making life better for all of us. I am forever grateful.

The CNA should have taken your grandma to bathroom, and have helped her only if she needed and asked for help !!!
