Pirates Landing is an amazing seafood restaurant. It is a really neat looking inside and out themed restaurant, the portions were very good. Very highly worth the drive from Wilkesboro.

This was my second attempt at eating here. Our first experience not the worst. Certainly not the best. A very mediocre fried/frozen seafood restaurant. The second attempt being last night. I met a friend for dinner we sat down at 6:50pm ordered our food. Not realizing when they close at 7:45 the light start shutting off. We look around and the entire restaurant is dark. I looked up the hours and they stated 8pm. We were sitting in the dark. I made a comment to my waitress apologizing that we didn't realize what time they closed only to be told to take our time. I responded that was kinda hard to do in the dark. We quickly got to go boxes. As we walked outside to our cars the outside lights were being shut off on us. We couldn't believe this. Never have I experienced such a thing. BTW. 40.00 for a cluster of frozen snow crab legs is an insane price. That is well above market value. I opted for a Maryland style crab cake dinner. It is definitely not. Best thing on the menu at this seafood restaurant is the steak. Its pretty good. Service was good but you don't shut down the restaurant with people eating prior to close.

The shrimp scampi is delicious. My husband had fried shrimp and flounder and he ate it all. We love eating here. We come yearly for the holidays. We have to drive a hour and a half and it's worth it. The prices are good and the bathrooms are so clean. The waiter we had was so great. We are going to start coming more often.
