Anything beats standing in line at the DMV, but Fred's is actually enjoyable. The employees know what they're doing and are quick to get you plates and fix registration problems. The historic plates and fun pictures on the wall help keep you entertained if you do have to wait, although it's rarely more than a few minutes. I'll continue to come here whenever I have paperwork that needs to be processed.

Called yesterday and asked if they could take care of a situation that is not a typical situation. They said no problem…..I then asked again to make sure it would be a walk in and walk out same day. They reiterated that they could in fact take care of the issue. So I show up this morning and they say it’ll take about two weeks for them to take care of the situation. I was also taking care of a related but different situation for my parents……my mother called and received the exact same response. Fred’s completely wasted my time.

That's the one think you can't do there. Brian is very friendly and helps however he can to get the job done . It's worth the extra money to avoid scheduling an appointment.
