Unfortunately I didn’t have a great experience with shampoodles. I was very excited to try them out, they were very nice over the phone and when I dropped her off. Unfortunately I picked up my dog and noticed her nail was bleeding really bad. I brought her back in to ask about it and the response they gave us was loosely, “she got jerky when we were clipping her nails. They shouldn’t walk on the pavement because when they kick off, it can shave their nails down.” They put some powder stuff on her nail and then told me not to let her walk on pavement for an hour. Fortunately my dog is small enough to carry to my car. If this would’ve happened with a bigger dog that you couldn’t carry I don’t know what they would’ve said. I feel like this was not the way they should’ve gone about this. Wish I would’ve been told all of this before I walked out the door and through the pavement parking lot. This would be a completely different story if they simply would’ve let me know that they might’ve cut them too short and to not let her walk on the pavement BEFORE I walked out the door. Definitely not the experience I was hoping for.

First, I would like to point out that my dog looked fine after I picked her up. I had no issues with the cut. I did however have issues with the scheduling, drop off, and time it took to groom. I was at Shampoodles at 8am on my scheduled day (which they called me to reschedule earlier in the week to a different day, which was fine), but my groomer was not there yet. I hung around for 30 minutes talking with the other groomer while I waited. She said my groomer was still about 20 minutes away at 8:30. I had appointment to get to, so I relayed what I wanted for the cut, told the woman I had to be at work at 2, and left. Fast forward 5 hours, I hadn't gotten a call yet about my dog, so I tried calling. . .no answer (which is fine, I know they are busy), so I went ahead to the shop to see if she is nearly done. I get there at 1pm, and my dog is on the table, nowhere close to being done. My groomer said she still needed 45 minutes, so I waiting in the parking lot for a call so I didn't have to drive 30 minutes home and 30 minutes back. I finally got a call at 2pm that she was ready. I would also like to add that I religiously brush my doodle, trim her nails, clean her ears, and brush her teeth, so I am certain that the extended time taken was not because she need the extra work of de-matting. Again, the cut was good, but that was 6 hours of no food, no water, and possibly no potty breaks (not sure what their policy is). I just felt for the higher, "luxury" price I paid, punctuality and efficiency would have been a higher priority. I did not mention any names because all the staff was kind and they do good work, I just feel like there should be a change in the efficiency/speed in which the dogs are groomed to eliminate any potential dog neglect.

They were able to brush my “vicious” chihuahua’s teeth and both pups came back looking fresh ! Took about two hours for two small, short haired pups (under 7 pounds each). The staff was kind even though our dogs are a riot.

Coco looks much better after getting her hair done at Shampoodles! She seemed happy after and didn't smell like artificial fragrance. I believe they used natural products. Great staff and happy dog :)
