This monument should stay in place to remind everyone about what communism and totalitarianism can lead to. Especially today when the same things are happening in Ukraine.

A breathtaking monument reminding of the cruelty of Soviet Russia and the sad and tragic history of Polish soldiers during the Second World War. Combined with the view of Manhattan, it creates an interesting composition, where the past and war are combined with prosperity and modernity.

This is both a powerful and very emotional monument to the brutality endured by the Polish people at the hands of the Soviet occupiers during the Second World War. The statue itself is beautifully crafted but difficult to look at for too long, given the graphic nature of the massacre it depicts.

Questions & Answers

Will the Daughters, grand daughters, sons, grandsons honor these murdered men and guard over this monument for what it means? I doubt it. American Polish immgrants have embraced the liberal class. Those under 40 know not the history others suffered.

Everyone in JC who cares about this monument, should do anything in his power to stop Fulop from removing it anywhere else. Let him know by twitter that he have no chance to get your votes anymore again. Polish peoples helped Americans from very begining to make America free and independent from British jurisdiction. Back in 1920 when Poland was threatened by russian bolshevicks, many volunteers from US came here to fight them back as fighter pilots in 7th "Kosciuszko Squadron". Two different nations separated by 'big water', both have a special care for things like patriotism and freedom. Kind regards and #R
