Great Christian campground. Nice roomy full hookup sights. Disc golf. Mini golf. Play ground. Activities. We had a great weekend!

i had a fairly good experience here. i came here on a summer program field trip three years ago (seventh grade). there was lots of bus/camper/rv parking. there were lots of hiking trails, little playgrounds, and pavilions. in the area where we were, there was a good pavilion with concrete and lots of picnic tables where we could eat and have lots of room for around 100 girls plus staff. there was also a basketball court in our area, a playground, and a small area with water fountains we could play in. it was kind of a long hike to the pool from where we were, but it was worth it. half of us went to the pool and the other half stayed at the pavilion. i went to the pool, and it was really fun. there were pool toys, balls, and floaties readily available. the pool house/changing room was a little scary, and it only fit one at a time, but it was good. the slides and diving area were good, even though it would be hard for younger children, larger people, and physically disabled people to climb up to the slide. 8/10 would probably recommend.

We specifically chose a campground with quiet hours because we have a toddler and I am a light sleeper, but quiet hours are NOT enforced here. Groups of people yelling and talking loudly, whistling, slamming car doors, driving in and out of camp after hours. To make matters worse, the campsites are right on top of each other. Not at all the peaceful and relaxing weekend we were hoping for. Oh, and get your firewood elsewhere. The wood at the camp store was too fresh and wouldn't light at all, even with lighter fluid and plenty of kindling. Disappointing.

Overall this is a very family friendly environment! Whether you have a camper, like to tent camp, or even need somewhere to stay they provide cabins.

Yes, you can go in and get yourself a cabin in family camp (or a camping spot for your camper), assuming there are any available (which there usually are). I do believe your latter question has already been asked and answered; the highest you'll have to pay is a small fee, though I'm not exactly sure of what that is or when you'd need to pay it. I suggest calling in to ask that to the office (I work here, so I hike whenever I want, pretty much, and therefore I don't have experience with that fee, and I'm also not 100% certain there is one).
As of last weekend they were not allowing day visitors, but they were planning to loosen some restrictions this next week. I would try to call office first. Or you could just access the Appalachian trail nearby on either rt 501 or 645.
18. It's family oriented and Christian setting. Bathhouse are not yet open so you would need a camper with shower n bathroom
RBS are permitted. Go to website campswatara.org/family camp. There is a map that can be enlarged. I would suggest tree line and G sites for RVs depending on the size of RV.
HI Craig, Yes fishing is allowed with you license. Please follow this link http://www.campswatara.org/rules-and-policies for any other questions. Thank You!
They rent cabins
It is posted but certainly worth asking. If allowed it would have to be an exception. Call the office and ask.
