We were fortunate enough to have booked earlier in the day, as all the rooms were occupied when we arrived at 10 pm. We had two rooms. One was fine and no problem. The second had an overwhelming odor on arrival. My wife thought reminiscent of cat urine, I thought maybe old wet carpet. I used a couple of tricks, opened both coffee filter/containers placed one on top of ac wall unit and one on beside table between beds. I also placed a small plate with body wash in front of the ac return. My wife returned to the vehicle to get some citrus odor killing spray (we have teenage soccer players who ride with us). These things did the trick and our noses were fooled!

The hotel was clean and check out is at 12pm. We got one of the last rooms which was a single Queen handicap accessible. The bed/pillows were comfortable and the chair beside the bed fully reclined. It could have been an extra sleeping space if needed. The room was equipped with dishes, etc like a mini apartment. You are responsible for taking out your own trash located at the end of the hall and there are no ice makers. Upon entering the room you have to lower the ice maker arm in the freezer to start ice production in order to have ice. They do have a shopette in the lobby with convenience type items for purchase as well as free coffee.

It was ok, nothing negative or bad, just not really good either. Would I stay here again? It wouldn't be my first choice, but I wouldn't cancel a trip over it. Biggest plus, comfortable bed. Biggest negative, nothing for breakfast which is important to me. I don't want to have to stop on the way to a meeting to get a biscuit for breakfast. Place could also spend a little more time on cleaning and maybe a make-over, it is getting that "overly used" look.

The Hotel and grounds were clean, safe and welcoming. The staff were especially friendly and helpful. After a long day of traveling, the Candlewood was the perfect stop for a peaceful and restful evening. I would not hesitate to stay there again.
