There are many reasons why life insurance is important - but I'll just name a few: it helps protect your family from financial devastation if you unexpectedly were to pass away, it provides tax-free estate planning to your family, and you can also build up tax-free wealth as a way of financial planning for your own retirement! Hi Rob - great question! You can have medical insurance and Medicare Part A (which covers hospitalizations) at the same time. However, when you enroll in Medicare Part B (which covers doctor's office visits) you fully go under Medicare and that will be your only medical insurance at that point.
