My Honest Assessment
Beautiful park. We love visiting when we are down this way and enjoy swimming and picnicing with the family. The park is very clean, kept-up and well managed. There are no life guards on duty but they do have several booths with the emergency rings. Park staff is always near and so are are the Game wardens. The large swimming area is safe for kids who are attended by adults. There are no deep drop offs though it does naturally get deeper towards the center. There are several depth markers. Depending on water level there may or may not be sand to play in. The lawn around the swimming area offers plenty of shade under trees and several benches. Shade canopies are welcome but no grills on the grass or sand. Dogs are not allowed on the beach either. There are plenty of shaded/lakeside picnic tables with grills along a gorgeous bike path. There are public restrooms/showers on each side of the swimming area. More than enough parking. $10 a per car. They also have stunning camping areas and hiking trails. Visit you won't be disappointed.

Great camp ground for RV and boats. Not so great for tents and bank fishing. Camp site was nice, it was clean, but with quite time starting at 10 and voices carry made it hard to have a conversation outside of an RV. As far as fishing, if you have a boat i am sure its great, just not a lot of bank fishing spots as the woods have taken over the shore line excpet around the pavilion areas, but they close thoes at dusk cause they have been cleaned already.

My husband and I would load up and take our kids camping every summer multiple times at clear creek. We took our kids, my nieces, and there friends up there to camp for the weekend. Always had a great time and some of my best and favorite memories now we made there. It's beautiful there, good fishing, swimming area, picnic tables and grills, and campsites. Take your family if you are able. It's worth it.

Had a great time this weekend!!! It's a very clean campground. All sites are spacious and have power and water (no sewer hookups though). Plenty of things to do around the campground too. No loss for fun here!!! Will be coming back!

I don't know about senior discount but we're camping in October the rates very from $25 to $27 the later amount being for water front spots. Also some sites are called double twice the size of a single more room for bigger campers/RVs and two vehicles as oppose to one double sites are double fee.
I dont think it matters. We saw tents, 5th's seperate and together. Just beware... I don't think any sites have sewer. Nice area. Its $24 per night. Oh and notices posted were that bathrooms and shower houses were all closed. Ask tho, but seems to me that's what I read. Hope this helps.
I was there 2 weeks ago and it was 76-78 according to my boat. Shiuld be good now.
It's a State Park
No campground host and campground employee s do most of the maintenance
Yes I have AT&T and I get good service
We have a camper and pd. $80 for 4 nights. Rates are the same for both campers and tents.
Not unless you are camping
If I remember correctly it was a $5 per person day-use fee but don't quote me on that
I don't think so. But if you get a chance to go there when it's open do it, you will love it.
No cabins just rv/camper tent and primitive camping. Very nice campground.
I agree, Bear Loop.
I think it's $3 for all day.

Yes 2 different boat ramps 1 for campground and 1 for general public, but you will have to tie up on the bank in the campground, the only dock is at the public access lauch and you can't leave it there
Its open from sunrise to sunset during spring and summer months to the best of my knowledge. You can call the park, they'll answer any questions you may have. 205-384-4792

We camp here all the time in different spots and all the spots we have been on has 50 amp. When you go to reservations it will tell you if it has 50 amp. And the ones we stayed on that cannot be reserved had 50 amp.

When you check in ask for a map. Or call and ask if they have one online. I went in the middle of the week to check it out. Some of the sites you can't reserve, it is first come first serve. I was very excited to see that the one we chose wasn't taken, especially since it was Mother's day weekend (2017)
Yes, day use and campers boat ramp.

The do have water and electricity and a dump station. Make sure you make them aware of how many vehicles you have because all 4 wheels of every item has to be parked on asphalt. It's a beautiful campground.
