It's a fun day but the only thing I didn't like was when the attendant at the gate said you can bring your dog but it wasn't allowed on the beach or in the water. Doesn't make an ounce of sense to me

The place was closed. No signs, no explanation. The boat ramp was open though.

Public day use area, open sun up to sundown. There are lots of picnic tables, a swimming area, charcoal grills, a pavillion for large groups, some classic metal playground equipment nicely shaded by large trees, and bathrooms. There is another area connected by a cute little bridge with a second group pavillion, benches, and newer playground equipment. This was a nice shady area to have a picnic and cut a watermelon on a summer afternoon, and the kids enjoyed playing. Will definitely be going back!
