Very good place and very nice environment but no security Lock was Broken, Wallet was stolen in Man’s locker room. Be careful, never leave your personal belongings in Locker Room, even you locked Too many people have bad experiences like me. Plano Recreation Center need to improve Security

No, you are allowed in. You only need a parent/guardian older than 18 if you are wishing to buy a membership.
The outdoor pool is in process of rebuild. Call to ask about indoor pool options.
https://plano.gov/Facilities/Facility/Details/11 Fall 2019 Public Lap Lane Availability “Deep” lanes are 25 yards long and start at 5’6” and vary up to 13’ in depth “Shallow” lanes are 25 yards long and range from 4’ to 5’6” in depth
Look for Leisure magazine, either in your mailbox or located at the rec center on the desk and on tables located throughout the building. In there you will find the schedules for classes offered at all of the rec center facilities throughout Plano. It's full of all kinds of lessons and fun, especially aquatic activities!
Plano residents can also pay on a daily basis. $6 for adults and $3 for children. We like the water slide and the kids wading area. Kids need to be 48" tall to use the slide.
They say the same thing to me. SUMMER
I've been in both pools and neither one is salt water. There are multiple pools at Muehlenbeck, so I don't know about all of them.
Only lap pool. Not leisure or outdoor
Yes, Basketball opened up Sept. 21st. It's reservation based, so you can call to reserve or reserve online yourself. Reserve up to 2 days in advance or you can come in to reserve in the moment with front desk as well. -Shooting only, no games. -1 person per sectioned off half court OR 2 persons of the same household. -Basketballs not provided, must bring your own. Oak point is currently only open for members (no day passes), so make sure you're a member before reserving a court. You can get a membership at any time.
Yes the center is open. Currently, memberships only. You can get a membership at any time either online or with front desk personnel.
Open play pickleball is Tues./Thurs. from 8-11:30am.
Yes they do. They are one of the city of plano's recreation centers. They offer resident (of plano) and non-resident memberships. The membership works at all Plano recreation and aquatic centers. You can also choose between annual or monthly memberships. There are 2 kinds of monthly memberships. 1 month user fees or monthly auto-renewals. The auto-renewal goes on a credit/debit and charges every month until you decide to cancel, whereas a 1 month can be paid in any way (cash, card, or check). They also offer day passes, if you opt out of memberships.
I would agree with Ivy
Rule is that everyone who enters the facility pays. Rest it's up to their discretion.
Ages 3-15 is $3, ages 16 and up is $6
Go there!!!!!!!!!
Call & ask if there is a charge. It may be included with the facility fee. You do have to pay that facility fee, regardless (a daily, monthly or annual one). Best is to check with Plano Recreation Dept.
Call them!!!!!!!!
The gym age rules are that you have to be 16 or older to be in the gym on your own. Otherwise, the only way you are allowed in the gym is if you are 13 and over with a parent/guardian physically present.
All indoor pools are heated it's a question of how much. Oak Point and other rec center pools that are used mostly for lap swimming are usually cooler as the swimmers get hot. Carpenter rec center has a leisure pool that is several degrees warmer than the lap swimming pools.
Yes ! Everyone always has food you just have to keep of the edge of the pool . So aslomg as youre by the bleachers you can have food
This forum is directed to local guides, not the business itself. You might want to call the business directly to get your question answered.
The park is open daily from dawn til dusk! The Recreation center is open today from 1pm-6pm
Just call the front desk.
I would just go ask a person up there because sometimes they don't answer on purpose.. sorry
As a Plano resident I pay $19/month for my recreation center membership (automatic bank withdrawal). There is an annual fee that is lower priced if you pay up front. Either way a great deal!
Not yet. In January it will be.
