Campsites are fairly close together. Quiet hours were not enforced so trying to put kiddos to bed while loud music was playing at nearby sites was tough. The site we stayed at was covered in hay because the grass was muddy. The shower houses were mid renovation, the hot water would not turn down and was so scalding I couldn't bathe my kids. Will not be coming back.

Very nice beach and beach house. However, for someone like me with arthritic knees, there is one larger concrete step down to the sand. A water break I presume. But I needed help to step down to the sand. I couldn’t find a break in the concrete. But the water was perfect!

Always enjoy camping here each year around fall time. The campground is great and the fishing is awesome. Only issue is the restrooms and showers are separate.

There is an entrance fee per car, $7 for Indiana residents, $9 for everyone else. $70 for year pass for nonresident. As of the date of writing this: 7/19/20. We did not go into the campground. Didn't find out fees or look into that area at all. Attendant on duty. Sandy beach area was nicely maintained. Had a refreshment stand and restrooms. Lots of picnic tables, several outdoor grills, many restrooms, scattered at various parking areas. Fishing dock. Several trails, but not wheelchair accessible so can't comment on those as to difficulty or quality. Seemed odd that the sandy beach is opposite side of lake from campground. Did not see handicap accessible way to get from parking area to beach. Lots of birds, squirrels, chipmunks. Several native flower areas. Lots of naive tree species, including fully grown Buckeye, Sugar Maple, Honey Locust. Overall, a nice place to spend the day.

Kents harbor is right up the road
Whitewater has a ton of great spots for tents electric and non electric options the non electric are pretty secluded
They have shelters in at least 1 spot to the left after you enter. The prices are different for in state and out of state. I would give the office a call.
Some of the electric sites have water that's on all year round
It was shut off, out houses were open though
We have winter rates. No water or shower houses. Electric only. There is a frost free spigot to fill your camper.
You are fine they havnt said anything to us yet and we had 7
They won't be available until after the 9th of july
There's a ramp, but I think it's reserved for campers. Not sure on that, though.
My husband and I were there last weekend and there was no water. There are a couple pit toilets around the park and a couple spigots that work. I heard the water will be turned back on April 15 but double check that. Have fun!!
Not at Mounds but you can rent cabins at Whitewater down the street. Hope that helps!
Im campeing at the mound is any hay rides or Halloween activtys going on?
Probably electric only. They prohibit gas powered "toys". Check Brookville DNR website.
There are places you can go to that you can camp by the river.. just not there.
No , not on the lake. If you are on a boat you will see random fireworks over the valley tho
There is dnr office there, so you can buy it there
There is a dock for boats if you are camping. I would think that a truck camper is allowed, but not sure.
I don't know about for public but they do for campers
Particularly during the summer season, it is generally best to reserve a spot before hand to ensure you will have a space to camp. Reservations can be made here: https://indianastateparks.reserveamerica.com/
I just left there. Our 5th wheel is 30 amp. You'll be fine
They have primitive camp sites and RV sites, I'm not sure about the cabin rentals.
It's within Mounds S.R.A but its not within walking distance unless u like long walks and there are no sidewalks between the camp grounds and the beach
Nope no fees to park or hike. Update. They are correct there is a fee. I was thinking about when people park at the boat docks for Brookville lake or some of the other free parking around the lake and then hike to Mounds State Park.
Call the park
$32 Friday Saturday $22 Monday to Thursday. If your camping there you have access to camp ground boat ramp only campers can use. Great place fish cleaning station camp store, showers. Cruze through and find a camp site you would like before making reservations. $7 to get in Park per vehicle. Unless you have year state park pass.
I believe the campground closes 10/31. There is a reservation system for all Indiana state parks. You can access it from the state parks website.
Yes we do alot haunted houses and trails and event all the way up and past Halloween
Hi Dale. We do not allow alcohol on the Mounds SRA beach. Thank you for your inquiry.
No they have full hookups
Quakerstate does. Quakerstate is at the north end of Brookville lake. It is a nice range and costs around 2 dollars a person to shoot. That's not including entrance fees to the park itself.
Yes, they are but, they must be on a lead at all times. You're not allowed to just let them run free. It's a pretty nice place to camp!
