Some tasty wines here! Good tasting experience!

I flew in from California to enjoy Traverse City with my family. We were excited to see Black Star Farms, but we were extremely upset with how we were treated. The employee asked what we wanted to try without any explanation of the wines or the winery. The wine we chose to taste was placed in front of us and she never checked on us. I didn’t care for my choices and wanted to try something different and was told no and you have to pay for what we poured. Needless to say we were offended and disappointed with our treatment. My sister would have purchased one of her tastes, but with how we were treated we left. The employees need training on customer service.

Wine was fine but service was rushed and staff was impatient. We showed up at 5:15 and were treated like we showed up at closing time. Soured the whole experience, please train to staff to close at 6 and not at 5:48 lol

New favorite winery! Not a bad wine between the 2 flights we had. Ordering online was super fast and easy.

We have packaged charcuterie trays, local dips/crackers, and gourmet nuts/chocolate at both of our Traverse City area tasting rooms. Our Hearth & Vine Café, located on our Suttons Bay property, is open Tues-Sat 12pm-7pm through October. You can view the menu on our website.
Hi Lisa, both of our locations are open 7 days a week during the fall. We cannot speak for the other wineries, however, October is one of the busiest months of the year for our region. If we close for a day during the week it is usually in winter/early spring.
No, we are offering flights of 3 wines, wines by the glass, and a daily special cocktail made from our spirits.

They have seating outside which would accommodate children. Not a lot for them to do at this location. The other would be more kid friendly.
