Dr. De Pace killed our mom. She contracted 3 different infections, they with held iV fluids for 4 days, some of the first floor nurses were awful and not caring. We filed a complaint but they didn’t do anything.unfortunately we lost my mother in law there also. They released her to rehab without a drain and her intestines fell out . She was rushed back and passed not long after that. So many people I’ve talked to have lost loved ones . It’s a wonderful someone hasn’t tried to do a class action suit against them. Do not go to this hospital…

Absolutely horrible place and full of thieves. Went into emergency room where they kept me sitting on a bed in the hallway for over 6 hours, virtually nobody checking on me. Then they resolve my issue and hot me with a $2000 charge AFTER INSURANCE and demand to be paid either in full or in $300 monthly payments, that's not a reasonable amount for a single parent on a very fixed income. Insensitive crooks the whole lot of them, they've sold their humanity for their fancy cars and houses

Came in to visit my son along with my 16 year old daughter. I was told that it was against the law for her to visit because she is a minor. She proceeded to tell me it was CDC guideline. She told me that she was not able to sit in the lobby while I took something to him because she can not be left alone...my 16 year old who can drive a car, be left alone in the home alone, and ultimately sat in the car...you guessed it unaccompanied. I told her I work at a hospital and I have not heard of that "law" and she said well we follow the law here. I think policy vs law are being confused here and she blamed this on COVID which my son was not in the hospital for this nor was he on such a floor...he had a roommate. I don't have any good things to say about this hospital since they gave my mom medication that was contraindicated based on her normal medications and she had a severe reaction. I emailed and called the ER manager who NEVER responded. PLEASE KEEP DRIVING DO NOT STOP!!

The service was good and the direct care staff was amazing. My only gripe and it cost the place 3 stars was Cardiologists Dr. Nicholas Depace. If you are in the hospital and they say he is on staff please ask for someone else. He billed us and was not even involved in my care and stated that he was not covered under my insurance so sent me a bill for cash pay. That is a low snake in the grass ambulance chasing move. Not only that calling him to resolve the issue continues to lead to his nanswered messages and zero call backs. If he is there I would request someone on the janitorial staff for consult before him. So upset that he is linked with this hospital.

The nurse to patient ratio is one problem. Nurses can't be nurses with too many patients. Critical thinking is lacking I believe due to the patient overload. My father went through triage, he had classic stroke symptoms, nurse was ill trained and bottom line they wanted to send him home. I had to argue with a small older lady with her clippy board. Finally admitted... for over a week. He did have a stroke, I happened to see the triage nurse while getting on the elevator, when I told her that he had a stroke & b12 level practically non existent, her face dropped. Yes miss nurse u got a serious situation wrong
Hopefully it will get better here my mother in law has been there for a month and no dr in that hospital has a single clue.. 4 different antibiotics and still nothing but yet go 30 minutes over the bridge to the real Jefferson hospital and it's very different way better and top doctors... this place is a joke Philadelphia Jefferson don't play any games and they take care of u.. y is that if it's same ownership now and it's been a few years so what's the issue
I found the staff to be GREAT, very helpful and respectful.
Yes. It's been Jefferson for over a year now.
My little girl was n they r real good with the babys
It's crazy! I was in the hallway one time and I hated it. They basically ignored me and I felt all alone. The ONLY REASON I go to that hospital is because it is right down the street from where I live and ii have a heart condition and I am too afraid to go anywhere else 😥😭😫
Call your surgeon and let them know.
On a recent stay...April 2 to 20th, everyone was more than competent and helpful. The doctors and nurses were surely schooled in the operation of hospital equipment.
You should call them. I don't think they can turn anyone away.
Got to go to their Financial Coordinator and ask them if you can fly for child charity care they will let you
No but I would recommend assuring you get multiple opinions and go for the best of the best for that. I know a few people that have had back surgery and it is best to do a ton of research.
U have to log in under guest.. once u click on ur wifi it will direct you to their page and there is a box u click to acknowledge and u should connect
Is it life threatening? Perhaps, unfortunately, someone with a life threatening issue came in & they get bumped to the front of the line. Perhaps, like a lot of places nowadays, they are short staffed & got to you as quickly as possible...
Quick?!?!? Are you kidding me? If you go to this hospital, you might as well buy a burial plot because you’ll be dead before they see you.
Yes I think that they would be held in the back of the hospital..Across the street at the surgical center.
