I love living in Peoria/AZ. I moved from Switzerland, therefore everything was new to me. However, the people from the City of Peoria made it easy for me. They helped me with any question I had - and there were many... but they understood, showed passion, were all the time helpful, kind and attentive. Acted very professionally. This was almost six years since (11/2013) and I'm still love living in Peoria/AZ!

Staff are very friendly but they told me that I must have a contractor submit a permit application. The Peoria Police and the ROC told me that’s untrue and they can’t do that. Costly and muddling .

Hi Robert, Community Services is the former name of Peoria's Parks and Recreation department. For information on food and meal assistance, please visit www.peoriaaz.gov/peoriasupport and download our Community Resource guide, which contains links to local food banks. You can also visit the Peoria Community Center at 8335 W. Jefferson St. in Peoria which offers hot lunches during the week (Mon-Fri) for seniors who are enrolled in the Active Adults program.
