One of my favorite gems in Boise to share with out of town visitors. Perfect nature walk with lots to look at. I have seen deer, many birds and tons of fish. Keep an eye out for those sturgeon! 😃

My favorite place in Boise! Beautiful area to walk, learn and explore with the kids or by yourself for a peaceful connection with nature.

Such a cool place! I remember coming here when I was a kid, and it's even better than it used to be. Take time to watch for the sturgeon on the sturgeon pond! We saw two. It's a great place to bring the whole family!

Fun way to see the fish in a natural aquarium style exhibit
As has been said, it can be done very briefly but if you want to admire the nature and wildlife more ~30-45 minutes should be plenty. I took even longer than that the first few times
Free!!!!
No the fish there are for educational purposes

Unfortunately. They do not allow pets in there and even the surrounding Municipal park says no dogs. You can take your dog on the green belt that runs along the river behind the nature center.
No. But they have a nice shop and the proceeds go to the Owls that are stressed feeding and operations.
