I avidly recycle metal, CR-V, etc. I started full time 9 years ago. Mainly CR-V, didn't know much about the metals. I found alot of electronics and communication wire and took it to Skees. That turned out to be a great decision. It doubled my money. I loyally have been going to Skees recycling ever since. Their staff has taught me everything about ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Sure I've went else where a few times. Only to be disappointed. I didn't feel they were as honest. Skees recycling is clean, honest, and fair. If it's your first time, it's okay. The staff Chris, Scotty, Rueben, Richard, the owner himself Don, they will take good care of you. Big loads, small loads, doesn't matter bring it in. Highly recommended!

The people here are very helpful, friendly and professional. They know what they are doing, and very honest about it. Doesn't matter if you get a few cents extra somewhere else, for the comfort and service, this is the place to go.

Changes everyday. You need to call
The prices of scrap metal, tin, copper, brass, aluminum, fluctuate with the stock market. So what price it is today may not be the price tomorrow. You need to contact Skees daily to get a correct answer.
Yes
No, we dont buy T.V's at all. Don't even want them for donation. They are considered hazardous waste and only specific recyclers touch them.
Are they steel or aluminum?
Yes
Yes
Lead/acid only. Car batteries, etc.
Yes
It varies prices hinder on stock market. Don is a reasonable man. If you have a lot of sheets with confirmation where they came from he more than likely will offer more than what the going rate is. I've been a customer for 10 years. Awesome family business.
We've taken quite a few rims in to them. Average is between $15 and $23 each. They pay better for brass, copper, aluminum than most if not all the other places in Fresno. I don't recommend taking metal though. They are a smaller family run place and they really don't want it. Better to take that kind of stuff to somewhere like SA's where they are set up for it. You will get almost double the amount that you would get at Skees
Yes..they can buy it for 5 bucks or buy it buy the weight..not sure what the price is on batterries by weight.
No. Copper aluminum coils are in the 1.50 range. Give or take a few cents. Now if it IS 100% copper though, you're right
3.50 a lbs or could be higher could be lower gotta call them for a price
I don't know but metal prices is good right now
Not sure what that is but think so
Maybe but I haven't ever seen or heard anyone ask about lead, anywho, hope you find what it is you're looking for.
It changes every day. You need to call
No, in refrigerators. Yes on the others if they're dismantled.
Call them
Heavy iron yeah junk cars no
No I am sorry, they stopped about 5 months ago.
Yes
Well I'm not the owner oc skees but I do a lot of business with them. They are only open for a few hours on Sundays. In fact I believe their only open until 3:00 pm on saturday, and they shut down at 12:00 noon on sunday. Just to warn ahead of time, when Don is ready to go home, he closes the gate and their is no exceptions.
Dont except cardboard sorry
No. Not no more. U have to break then down
The key difference between copper 1 and copper 2 is that copper 1 is formed by the loss of one electron from a copper atom whereas copper 2 is formed by the loss of two electrons from a copper atom. Copper is a transition element that can be found in the d block of the periodic table of elements.
