Having just suffered a devastating loss, our welcome to the funeral home was short-lived and we were told we had to leave because dad was COVID-positive and we couldn't be seen until 5 days after. There were no signs regarding masks or said policy because we would have complied. We were rushed out the door and handed a folder of information. The situation could've been handled with more tact and decency. Arrangements were mostly made via email and I made sure that we wouldn't spend any additional money with your home given the insensitive treatment. The decor in the chapel is quite dated and not very comfortable. The technology is substandard and we were unable to play his slide show despite taking it in various formats. We were quite bothered that the family cars were not coordinated behind the hearse on the drive to the cemetery after the service and that a limousine was unavailable that day. Furthermore, the cemetery workers informed us that they would have set up more chairs and at least another canopy had they been told that dad was a veteran. Frankly, our experience was substandard but, sadly there's no incentive for your funeral home to improve because yours is one of only two in town.

The staff at People's Funeral Chapel were so very caring while helping me to deal with this sudden loss. We were from out of town visiting family when this happened. They took care of everything. I needed to see my love 1 more time and they made that happen. . I highly recommend People's.
