I presented AZ with a damaged Hard Drive for data recovery. They were very avoidant when I asked about estimates over the phone, claiming it would be impossible to give me one. This made me very doubtful of their legitimacy, but I decided to trusted them based on reviews. The cost they then charged me later that day was very high, but in comparing it with other data recovery services it seemed within a normal range. When asked about sending me an invoice for the services they were similarly avoidant, which did not reassure me, however. They did provide fast service, returning the drive within only 3 days, and were able to recover a large amount of the damaged data. However the ending price was not only larger than they initially quoted me for (which I understand is a possibility, but with their lack of transparency about putting these things in writing, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth), neglected to tell me that they did not recover all my damaged data until I inspected the drive myself later that night. To their credit, they answered the phone after hours and explained why they were unable to restore everything, but I still feel taken advantage of since they did not inform me either before collecting payment or when I received the drive. While I am disappointed with the state of my recovered files, it is AZ's poor communication that leads me to recommend against using their data recovery service. Hopefully they can be more up front about their business for future clients, but I doubt I will return to them in the future.
