I needed a New Nook with Audio and I needed to be walked thru the steps of using it. Carrie Jo and manager Jessica took TIME to make sure I was set up and understood the process. In a time where customer service seems forgotten, they went the extra mile and made sure I was taken care of. Thank you ladies and 👍 to the Springfield, Mo store!

Love this store. Love that its still viable (meaning, people still read, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary). Thinking back to B&N in the 90’s, comparing to its current appearance/style/feel, its adapted pretty well in the face of that business-killer, no not wal mart, the internet. And without losing anything, really. “The same, but different….”

This place is very expensive. Would not recommend.

Great store and very helpful staff. Go get a coffee and a book and enjoy a few hours of enjoyment!

No, we still carry the Nook in store. Go to the customer service desk at the center of the store to find a nook display and speak to a bookseller.
They will carry it in store but whether or not it's in stock is a question to ask an associate or even check online. Make sure to mark your store as Springfield, Mo.
Yes and if you go into the store they will order it for you.
Ya know I'm not really sure. I've never seen newspaper there. Might call them and check. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
No sorry 16
You can go to their website and it well tell if they got it in store
Barnes & Nobles is a retail bookstore that sells books, magazine's, educational learning aids, and other novelties. There is a Starbucks located in most stores, but it is not a resale bookstore. They have brand new books reduced for clearance. There is a bookstore located on Glenstone, in Springfield, Missouri called ABC bookstore and they deal with resale books.
No
I haven't been in that section before.
Seasonal hiring is usually done by November to get everyone settled in before the holidays are underway. You can fill out an application on the website and the store goes through them as needed. Applications submitted are held for six months and 99.99% of positions will be part time.
The phone begins with a recorded message, but then it rings through to the store. You can press any number to skip the recording. You can also order your books online to pick up in the store
Anytime I have been in the store they have had those popular series in stock. However, they always offer to do a search & place an order for you of any items not currently available in-store. Pretty sure there is shipping costs though.
You can order on line. As to inmate, that would depend on the prisons rules.
Barnes and Noble carries a wide variety of fear, from the common variety "the brown people are coming to take our sweet privilege", to truely exotic types such as "I've been contacted by aliens and the government now wants me dead". Just ask at the customer service desk for your favorite fear authors, from Bill O'Riley to Alex Jones. We have them all!
I believe they do in the religious section, but as I've not looked specifically, you may be better off actually calling the store real quick.
You'll have to call the service desk during business hours, and of they don't have it, they'll usually order it for you!
You will need to call and talk to an employee to get this kind of detail about curent stock. This is simply a place for locals to help people decide of they want to shop at this location.
Questions asked through this app are directed to the public, not the location in question. If you call the store itself, they may be able to help.
You are not talking to Barnes & Noble. Just a customer. Look it up online or call the store!
Hi, Tracey. It seems like you might be confused about what this is. When you ask a question here, you're asking "local guides," or people who have elected to answer questions about businesses they have patronized in the past. This does not connect you to the store. It's unlikely that it connects you to anyone that works there and even less likely that anyone that reads your question will call on your behalf. Questions like yours are best directed to the actual store in a phone call.
i don't think so. seem like if there is a books-a-million in town then no barns and noble and vice-a-versa
Usually they can order the book you want and have it shipped to the store. Just give them a call!
Don't use Amazon when you can use a local store and keep jobs in Springfield.
Yes they have a large kids section with books for all ages.
Barnes and Noble does allow you to call ahead and have the order waiting for pick up at the store. In most cases you have the option to pay for the purchase ahead of time as well . They salso allow the option from their website .
