Ive lived here for almost 3 years and I'm kinda shocked at all these terrible reviews, but I live in a renovated apt so that probably helps. I havent had any major problems, my apartment was slopply renovated so doors started to come loose, along with the shower rack, but that's an easy fix and not a problem. And two years ago they repaved the parking lot and since I work late, I didnt have a parking spot and had to park in handicapped and pray i didnt get towed and ticketed. (I left my phone number and note explaining, so I didnt have anything happen) It's nice to have a garbage shout inside but it stinks like garbage alot, and apperently its leading to mice and roaches, however ive never seen one on the third floor. Des plaines in general has a huge mouse problem now so its not fair to blame the apartment building completely. Even alot of buisnesses now have mice. Overall ive had a great experience, it probably heavily depends on what building and hallway.

It is good that you have not rented here because the apartments are expensive and well below the quality you would expect for what you pay

My wife and I moved in here last October, thinking it would be a nice, clean place to live. We couldn't have been more wrong. We moved into unit 113, right by the garbage dumpster room. The week we moved in, apartment spotless, we started seeing rats in the garbage room and in our apartment. We also saw roaches in the garbage room and our apartment. The pests have been coming in from the garbage room into our apartment. When we first moved in, there was black mold in the basement laundry room. I had to complain for almost 8 months, even threatening to sue (my wife is deathly allergic and has severe asthma), for anything to be done about the laundry room. My wife's pet tarantula was stolen by one of the maintenance workers (I know which one). The management is completely incompetent and refuses to acknowledge the issues, even yelling at me and denying everything. I will be building a lawsuit case against this place.
