On balance Parkside Townhomes is a lovely residential community. Like any such community Parkside has pluses and minuses, but the former outweigh the latter. A previous review is on the money insofar as the awkward first floor living space. It is lengthy but rather narrow. Most units have a TV over the fireplace which leaves the opposing wall as the natural location for a couch. That wall, however, has an intake grill for the ventilation system which means that any couch has to be pulled away somewhat. The result is the couch ends up in the middle of the room and any viewing of the TV entails craning one's neck. A small vestibule area would provide the additional wall space that would allow for better furniture placement. The positives - great, large kitchen. Reasonably sized bedrooms upstairs. Two and half bathrooms, decent closet space and great exterior design. At over 1,500 square feet it is among the largest of the many similar townhome rentals available in the area. The maintenance people are prompt and competent, and the property manager is diligent. There aren't some of the "luxury" amenities of other communities such as a clubhouse and fitness room, but not everyone requires that. The bottom line is that the rent is very reasonable for the amount of living space and it includes basic cable and internet. All in all, Parkside is a good place to live.

I was suddenly faced with having to move. I have a disabled Don and my own health issues. I am a veteran. I was not treated in a friendly manner at all. I felt demeaned and the person was short and basically nasty and dismissive. I am also a minority. People do not not know what a person is experiencing and are judgemental. As a health care professional , I will say, treat people with dignity and also remember- you could end up in their situation one day..... Shame on the VA if they do not demand respect for their veterans.

The homes are mostly brown tones and fixtures. Greys and slate are current and if you have more current home furnishings this may be a challenge. The largest downside is there are no walls in the living space . The sofas need to sit to close to look up to view the TV above the fireplace ( the only hook up is above the fireplace) I’ve rearranged several times and the lack of wall & living space is awful . If you have a family - this layout is not friendly . There is no family room area . There are no seperation of entry , living and breakfast areas . Again making this difficult. The bedrooms are the best part however your children will end up spending most of the time in them for as I stated there is a lack of living space . The mantance man is terrific !! I’m assuming since I’ve had my AC not work , Fireplace not working ( again it’s not working ) , washing machine not spinning , dryer has also stopped working , furnance makes an awful load noise all day and night , I could go on and on but my point in he’s extremely busy yet he’s great at correcting and fixing everything and doing so with a sense of urgency. There are absolutely no amenities. The area is up and coming with beautiful modern townhomes that offer dog parks , fitness centers , business centers and even areas to rent for birthday parties and such , libraries and pools . Parkside has nothing and the highest price lease for townhome in the Canandaiguia, Farmington, Victor Area . You will receive text and emails “friendly “ reminders that your rent is due in 3 days , 2 days and 1 day . There has been 5 managers since April or May . When you view the show house it is beautiful but really think of how the space is laid out and how this works in real life . What caught my eye were they spared no expense on the quality of materials used to build these units . Driving threw CandleWood Apartment complex to get to your $1,623 a month in rent townhome is also a HUGE downfall and eyesore. Love the outside of the buildings but the Bottom line is you live at CandleWood Apartment Complex not In a luxury townhome community. Parkside was a poor choice ( the granite counters and beautiful master had me on cloud 9 ) and I now understand why the turnover is tenents is so high . Spend your money in a real townhome community with the amenities are worth the rent .

These townhomes are gorgeous! A small quiet community right outside the city. Would highly recommend. The office staff and maintenance team are wonderful!
