A cozy, if somewhat crowded (not just with people, but tables and chairs too) breakfast / brunch café with that "mom and pop store" charm. It's clearly a popular spot with its share of devoted regulars (the phone rang like 5 times over the half hour or so I spent there) and I can see why. The menu isn't overly generous with options, but the prices are fair and the food arrived much quicker than I expected. The only major disappointment for me was the French toast; it was bland and the watery syrup they offered only made it soggy and more unappealing. Ironically, the buttered toast my other order came with, which they clearly used as the same bread for the French toast, tasted great! My only other complaint is the drink size is insultingly small, essentially the size of a kid's cup, assuming you're not getting coffee or tea. Not a mind-blowing experience, a step above decent, but for the prices and the atmosphere, I can't really complain. It's worth going to at least once, and I don't regret my visit. PS they only accept cash, no credit, just a heads up.
