This is a very clean campground with lot sizes to accommodate anything from a tent to a class A with full hookups. On site activities include a large new playground, hiking and walking trails including a beautiful historic truss bridge, and a canoe / kayak launch. Connected Koteewi park has everything from archery to horseback riding to a zip line and ropes course for additional fees.

What an amazing campground. I stayed in June. Spot A6. It backs up to the river with your own little access. The trails are beautiful and the bridge is gorgeous. Awesome Wi-fi. Bathrooms with showers are nice. Very peaceful. Would definitely visit again.

White River Campground was a pleasant surprise. The surroundings are very nice with mature trees, the White River adjacent to the property and a pond. There was an excellent walking/biking trail just over the river bridge. The park is actually located in Cicero, IN. Fishers, IN is close by as are several other suburbs of Indianapolis making shopping very easy. The RV spaces were concrete pads. We were parked right on the river so our view was very nice. We had full hookups which worked well. The staff was accommodating and pleasant. The weather was terrible while we were there - raining every day for nearly a week. Consequently, there was a lot of mud and the river was very high. It did not cause any problems with the RV but the mud was a bit of an issue coming and going. The sites were not as long was we expected. It just barely fit our 39’ fifth wheel. Our tow vehicle had to be sort of wedged in partly on the grass. It was tight. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay.

Almost hate to share a review out of selfishness…a beautiful hidden gem close (ish) to home for us! We are semi-seasoned campers and just discovering County Parks. This stay last fall was an absolute TREAT!! Our site was full hook up and the concrete pad made setup a breeze. The river and view of the bridge was all too picturesque. We biked, we kayaked, we relaxed! We will return for sure!

They do have electric and water at most of the camp sites. There is a tiny amount of truly primitive campsites...like under 10 sites. Quiet hours would not allow for generator.
You can check in after 3 and there is a host to help if you pull in after hours
I believe that a couple of weeks is the max time allowed. It is a county park not privately owned.
Yes. The rate is $5 per 12 sticks. The firewood is kept in a large shed which keeps it very dry and allows you to choose which 12 you'd like. I usually choose a good combination of larger pieces that will last a while, and ragged/rough pieces that will start a little more easily. The pieces are not particularly large. I'd guess around 18" long from trees that had a 5"-6" radius, and they are cut into 1/6 or 1/8 wedges. You could keep a small fire going for the night with one 12 stick load, but if the fire is your sole entertainment for the evening, I'd suggest a second load to keep things going. There is a credit card fee for small transactions, so try to remember to buy your wood during check in, or bring cash. At one time there was a wheel barrow to help you carry the wood, but it seems to be gone now. So if your camp site isn't up on the north end of the campground, near the office, I'd suggest brining your vehicle to transport the firewood.
No camping isn't free
It is not free. Cost depends on if you live in Hamilton County.
Camp sites 17-38 and 80 -98 are full hook ups 30 and 50 amp
This campground is connected to Hamilton County's largest park, and gives all our guests access to over 10 miles of trails!
They do not have cabins. Just tent and camper camping sites. Really nice place to stay though. Tons of fun stuff to do within minutes of the campground
Jeremy is right. We do not have a pool or allow wading or swimming in the White River. However, you are able to launch your boat, canoe or kayak for a launch fee. You can pay the fee in the campground office.
There is a more detailed list on their website, but full hookup is $30/night for visitors, but only $25/night for residents of Hamilton county. If you only need electric and water (no sewer) both rates are $5 less per night. What's even better is the weekly rate. Full hookup is only $150 per week! But don't get to excited about calling this place home. Camp rules say you can only stay for 14 days before you must vacate for a minimum of 2 days.
Different sites can handle different size campers.
Almost everyone there had a dog last week. Still, very quiet and peaceful.
I think all spots are 26.50 for county residents and a little more for out of county.
There is. I forget the lot #, but it is in the back by the RV parking and not by other tents. It is along the creek and the riad encircles this site. I took 7 teenage girls here and They didnt bother anyone and no one bothered us!
Yes we took ours
Their are no " private " type sites per say.
2 weeks maximum stay is correct. Hamilton County residents pay $5 less per night.
There is a park across the bridge that has trails, not sure if they allow bikes. However, the road just outside the park is great for cycling, from Anderson to Cicero and beyond. It was my training road when preparing for a triathlon. Not best for kids though..
Yes, they have tent camping sites that are used for that frequently.
Yes, I catch and release... I know people who do eat what they catch.
It's free
If you pay cash or check you get a discount and they have always return my calls
It is not open year round. It has some 30 and some 50 amp hook ups. Some have sewer and all have water.
