First time visit! Entrance to the place can be deceiving. It feels like you are in the wrong place while walking upstairs to the 2nd floor. Once you open the door, it's a different vibe. The pictures tells it all. Like my son say, "I haven't had a great meal for a long time." Trust me, you will not be disappointed. PS, you need to order the tiramisu before you leave.

Everyone said this place is great so we decided to give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised. You get a ton of food with each order. Pictured are the crab meat spaghetti and the fried squid both were great. Also ordered the brocoleta which was ok but I am more into crunchier vegetables than soggy. Regardless I'd come again

Such a classic Richmond haunt! Locals know that the somewhat dingy, carpeted steep stairwell leads to this cozy, intimate, surprisingly elegant setting. This romantic restaurant carries some of the best Italian food in Richmond- the dishes are not overly complex and not the typically Italian dishes that one might come to expect- they’re just extremely well done and gratifying. Get the fennel appetizer-even if fennel doesn’t call your name, you’ll be glad to have the creamy cheesy broth it’s braised in. The calamari was the best I’ve ever had, crispy and fresh and so good it didn’t need sauce accompaniment. My favorite pasta so far is the shrimp, kale, pine nut spaghetti.

great small place with a good portion size! to get to the restaurant, you have to go up the stairs and it is right on top of the hibachi box. the place was quite packed but we were seated immediately. the food was very good and the menu was straightforward. the fried squid was crispy and well seasoned. the pastas were good and the penne was al dente. would definitely come back!!

Pretty comfortable, maybe a little warm when crowded but not horrible
They do take reservations. Always make them if its for dinner, better to be safe than have to wait around.
Take out only. On arrival you pick up your food from staff inside the restaurant. Everyone was wearing a mask
