I'm a first time homebuyer looking for a conventional mortgage. I got a competitive and decent rate from Charlie who was quick to follow up and be proactive when he needed to, but closing documents had minor mistakes that I had to call to ask about. I ended up writing in corrections on the forms during closing. There were also some times where the information got lost between A1 and my realtor, such as when an appraisal was waived but my realtor said the house appraised at value. Help after closing wasn't the best, though. Right before closing day, I got a text and email that my mortgage was transferred to NPB, but never saw any documents from the company I was transferred to. Then weeks later I got an email from another servicer PHH telling me to set up an account. This one was more accurate because I eventually received their notice in the mail as well. However, I was confused for sometime in between and when I panicked and emailed the post-closer contact given to me...the email bounced back. Still, this was overall probably a better experience than people might get elsewhere and most of it went pretty smoothly.
