Been cancer-free for over 27 years - didn’t know I could walk in and purchase - it was a delight to shop for bras like normal - hours could be a little more convenient for people working regular jobs and thank you

I moved to a smaller city 3 years ago and have had trouble finding a mastectomy shop that carries the bras that I know fit and are comfortable for me. I can’t say enough about the caring attitude and willingness of the staff to help me get bras and work with my insurance company. Also their knowledge of the manufacturers and styles was invaluable. Had they not helped me, I would have tried a different style that wouldn’t have worked out well. Thank you to Nava and all of the other staff that served me.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! I cannot thank you enough for the Joy you gave back to my Step-Mother Mary. Back in 2011 or 2012 I brought my Mother In-Law Emma here(the location was closer to Coconut Creek Parkway at the time)to be fitted for bras and a Prothesis. She was so happy afterwards and it truly enhanced her quality of life because she said she felt complete. We purchased new clothes to go along with her new attitude and gave her a new hairstyle as well. Fast forward to 2022. My Step-Mother was having the same experience of feeling incomplete and a bit self conscious so I knew exactly where to bring her to restore her confidence. Her Fitter was Karina (CFm#02608) and she was Heaven Sent 😇!

Questions & Answers

Do you get your measurements for bra and prostheses before surgery or after surgery?

Lillie Russell | Oct 4, 2020
A Fitting Experience Mastectomy Shoppe | Oct 4, 2020

Hi Lillie, Thank you for your inquiry. Measuring for a breast form and bras is typically done after the surgery, however, you can come in prior to your surgery and check out the many options available to you during your recovery period. When you are nearing the end of your healing period and when swelling is down, usually about 4-6 weeks, you can be fitted comfortably and properly by our certified mastectomy fitters. Also, when coming in prior to surgery, we can verify your insurance coverage and help you get the most of what you will need. We look forward to meeting you! Thank you and if you have any further questions, please feel free to call us at 954-978-8287.

They sell all size bra prosthesis, for bilateral and or single. I've purchased from there a few times over the years and they are very helpful in getting you exactly what you need, they take the time to allow you to try on different sizes and styles. Call in and or make a appointment. Hope this helps Good luck. 😍

Have insurance companies ever paid for bras before? I have very difficult problems getting the right size. I need help getting the weight off my shoulders and back.

Thank you for your question. Yes, insurance companies will pay for post surgical bras if you've undergone any type of breast surgery, and in most cases must wear a prosthesis, even if you've had reconstruction or a lumpectomy; we have the products to make you perfectly symmetrical. Must have a Physician prescription and/or referral authorization from your insurance company. Thank You, Beth
