What a quaint place. Staff was polite and friendly. Food was good and nice portions. But the atmosphere is worth frequenting. We will return.

We rode our motorcycle down from Newport news Va, and were very happy with the food and the service. If ur in the area or just want a good meal at a very reasonable price its definitely worth the trip.

Such a nice place to eat. Has a very home style atmosphere where you feel comfortable and welcomed. The waitress I’ve had every time I’ve gone was amazing. Kathy couldn’t of been a more tentative and nice waitress. Wait time was very reasonable with amount of people eating. The food was AMAZING! So good, the perfect home cooked meal. We make it a point to go every so often. Great place to take the family. Reasonable bargain prices. Costs us no more than thirty for whole family 2 adults and 2 kids. Update: Still a wonderful place! There are numerous artifacts, vintage antiques here. The building is very historical, you can even see when it was once was a bank. You can see where the bank teller is. Our table was in the back right by it. We had Kathy again and wow I had to give her a big tip and she was very thankful. My daughter and I loved our food so much we even got a plate to go for tomorrow. I ordered two large adult sized meals, two additional sides, two slices of pie and a to go adult sized meal plate for home for around $30! You can’t beat that anywhere! So I left Kathy a large tip for what the food should of cost for the quality and service! Love that a place like this is so close to home! Such great comfort food, southern style eating! They do take out orders but no delivery. We usually love sitting in the booth but it was closed for repairs. It should be back again soon. Still we enjoyed our small table for two with an antique lamp on it which we turned on and really helped with the ambience. I saw a cool vintage see saw in the corner with a snow sled. They have many vintage dolls, and a play cart. It’s even fun to just come and look at all the antiques. My daughters favorite was the vintage Coca Cola bottles and Pepsi bottles with soda still in them! They also have a nice old school sign. Please come to this place, you will have no regrets!

Came across this place randomly while out for a drive. I stopped and a lady came out and asked if I wanted a menu. They are only doing takeout at the moment but i got loads of food for $10.75. 3 meals worth! Will definitely come back and eat in this historic restaurant!
