There are so many things wrong with this complex. The staff is rude and slow. The facility only accepts cash which is ridiculous because the concession stand can accept cards. It's a sportsplex- but we can't bring outside drinks, coolers, etc. They want parents to pay outrageous prices at vending machines. And that's if there full. The concession stand only serves fried food in most coaches and parents are trying to serve their child athlete something a little bit healthier. The Boo Williams bathrooms are deplorable! And that's just speaking about the men's bathroom. The sportsplex in Rocky Mount North Carolina was super clean. The cleanliness was 10 out of 10 followed by their concession stand. The sports center in Virginia Beach was super clean as well. 10 out of 10. And their concession stand has a variety of food both healthy and affordable. The Boo Williams courts are dim the bleachers are dirty it's just horrible. And I'm from Hampton!

I've been going to this facility for quite a few years.... not by choice. My son and daughter both played AAU Basketball there. My daughter has also ran in several AAU Track meets at the facility.... as recent as 4 days ago. So, I guess this review will be from a "sports mom's" point of view. This is a sports facility, please keep that in mind while reading my review. I'll keep it short and sw.... well it may not be so sweet. There's an admission fee at the front door. They only take cash (who even uses cash anymore), but they do provide an ATM. The fees may be higher than the casino, not too far away, but there is one provided. There are no coolers, outside beverages nor outside food allowed in the facility. Again, this is a SPORTSPLEX. I suppose it's because there is a concession stand and a few vending machines inside. The concession stand sells overly priced fried foods and burgers. The fried fish is not nasty. However, per the coaches and trainers, the athletes are to STAY AWAY from the concession stand. Again, I say, it's a SPORTSPLEX. It's a place for athletes and their events. So, they can't bring anything into the facility and the concession stand sells nothing to accommodate the ATHLETE. There's water and Gatorade in the vending machines. We literally have to make several trips back and forth to our truck for water and food. There are basically 2 large rooms, that I've seen. One room is a large basketball court with several small basketball courts divided by large drop clothes. Let's hope your child's game is not on an inside court. The other room has an indoor track around more basketball courts. The bleachers can't open all the way in the track room or they'll be on the track. So people have to bring lawn chairs to be strategically placed around the room between the areas used for the field events and teams. Because the room is so small, there are metal bars placed on the track so the runners know where to run. The bars are not secured to the track (because it's also a basketball court) they're constantly being kicked and the runners are tripping over them. There's no real mask mandate, no hope for any kind of social distancing and I couldn't find any hand sanitizer in any of the dispensers that I saw. Again, a SPORTSPLEX for ATHLETES. Lastly, I'd like to mention the restrooms. Actually, I can only speak on the women's. They're not constantly monitored. If they are, then maybe the monitors aren't being monitored. There are two sides to the restroom. One side is always blocked off by a green plastic gate, which I'm sure is sanitized. The side that is for use is ALWAYS out of toilet paper and soap. This review wasn't meant to be an all out bash. The concept of the facility was a good idea but it seems as if money is the primary motivation and our kids's love of sports is the targeted funding source.

Very nice Sportsplex easy to get to and lots of parking. My son had a BJJ tournament there it was set up perfectly. From the security to the seating and visibility. Very nice place

I don't pay in order to get in, because I'm a coach, but it costs to attend special events. I was told by some people that they paid $7 each for entry. The venue serves as a place to hold athletic events, especially basketball and indoor track. There are very few healthy eating options, which disappoints me as a coach, parent and patron. Some events last all day long, and the student athletes' healthy eating options are limited to fruit cups, bananas and apples, which are $1 each. In my opinion, that's too much. The snack machines are filled with junk food, which is also disappointing. They don't allow outside food and drinks, so you'd have to leave, if you want healthier options. Seating is limited in the track area, and it's difficult to walk along the sides of the running area. If you're using a wheelchair or happen to be of a larger stature, you're most likely going to have problems navigating your way through the crowds.

I'm sure they do; and what I can most assure you of is that the people there are very gracious and most accommodating and would be ever so happy to answer any questions you may have.
