One of the most amazing buildings I have ever had the privilege to view. I walked in to see what might be on display and a chance to sit and rest my feet. I was rewarded with a hidden, carefully faceted gem in the heart of the city, and completely free, at that. If you appreciate detailed monumental architecture, put this building on your bucket list, pictures do not do it justice.

Must-see old library in Chicago. Glass roof and sumptuous mosaics. It's free !

There are 2 domes in the buildings. Beautiful and elegant interior design. Worth a visit.

Yes, wheelchair accessable ramp on the north side of the building, on Randolph Street.
Yes, photography is allowed.
One of my favorite places to photograph in Chicago. Especially the domes. I have been there several times in different lighting and i have come back with completely different perspectives. If you are into photography (i am crazy about it) i strongly urge you to take a wide angle lens with you. But dont let that stop you from going there - even smart phones you will come back with good pictures. Do the staircase too - you can get some very interesting angles and geometric shapes...
There was a concert on April 6th but it was held at Seventeenth Church of Christ, Scientist, Chicago 55 E. Wacker Drive. They moved the free Wednesday concerts out of the Cultural Center I think because of the pandemic restrictions (I hope they move back). You can find more information on the International Music Foundation website and the Wednesday concerts are called Dame Myra Hess Memorial concerts. Hope that helps for future concerts.
From website: Building Tours reveal the storied history of the landmark Chicago Cultural Center – offered year round on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 1:15pm. Tours are FREE and led by volunteer docents. New in 2018: Enhanced tours for visitors of all abilities to engage with the Chicago Cultural Center, on 2nd Tuesdays at 1:15pm.

Should be about 5 minutes walk. While you're there, try and find the Pedway and you can explore a different route back to hotel.
The Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events announced that the Chicago Cultural Center will remain closed through the rest of 2020. Virtual events continue to be produced.

To create the illusion of walking through a door, into a world of all cultures.
If you give them a call they will take care of you. I have been apart if a few venues there and if you call them they can let yiu know thier options. :)
I have no knowledge about seating arrangements in that venue....sorry!
They csn make seating arrangements for you. Just let them know ahead of time. :)
I'd call them to see if they do that
The Chicago Cultural Center was built in 1897. The Tiffany dome (on the south side) was restored in 2008.
If you want to have an impromptu wedding that is small that is okay. A big affair should be scheduled.
There are parking garages around the area. There are parking garages on Wabash Avenue. There's also Millennium Park parking garage. You can use that spothero application and that might help you find some parking. Other than that there's tons of public transportation you can use. Pretty much all of the CTA trains go to that area. There are tons of CTA buses that go to that area. Also Metra trains are real convenient.
They usually don't have any kind of admission fee. It's free. Depending on the event. But just go ahead and walk in.
I believe there are 2 domes. 1 on each side of the building.
