What is happening at the catholic cemeteries such as resurrection cemetery is disgusting. They are throwing out crosses and decorations from the Graves. When we bury our loved ones, we pay for the plot and therfore we have the right to decorate them. This is a catholic cemetery and for them to throw out a crufix from a grave is pure evil. I cannot believe that the arch diocese is not doing anything about this. I have loved ones buried in Poland and they do not throw anything out. There are tons of candles and crosses on graves in Poland. I am sorry but for a catholic cemetery to throw out a cross and not have people be able to put one up for their loved ones is a devil thing to do. This is NOT WHAT THE CATHOLIC RELIGION HAS TAUGHT US FOR YEARS. This is pathetic and people need to stand up. You guys should all be ashamed of yourselves. You guys call yourselves Catholics , Catholics would never throw out a cross. Shame on you. The Catholic religion is not like it used to be. This is why so many people are turning away from the religion because of things like this. Shame shame and shame on you leaders of the Catholic church. You guys should be leading by example but instead you guys are leading by greed which is one of the deadly sins.

If the church in Mexico requires it, go to a church here and ask for the precana classes. After finishing classes they give you proof that you can deliver in Mexico.

Suzan OROURKE | Oct 5, 2019

april19,2019 If the rosary has been blessed it must be returned to the a church to be properly disposed of If not blessed ,it is really not a rosary. If you are unsure if it id blessed, best assume that it is blessed .

They can either say "Remember you are dust and to dust you shall return" or "Repent, and believe in the Gospel."

Do you have churches for sale or rent in the chicagoland area?

Lee Baker | Oct 5, 2019
Suzan OROURKE | Oct 5, 2019

February 23, 2019 Dear Lee Baker All Catholic Churches. are blessed when they are built and before saying the first Mass .TO rent a church would be consider blasphemy or a sin against the 1stCommandment.A church hall or basement might be rented but the truely honorable person would never sell or rent holy articles or places. Most religions believe in honoring their holy places despite their belief in Catholic practices.

Can you teach for the Archdiocese of Chicago and it will not effect your Chicago Teacher Pension?

Leslie J Dummitt | Oct 5, 2019
CJ E | Oct 5, 2019

That's actually a question you need to direct to CPS. The Archdiocese isn't familiar with pension rules for any employer outside of the Archdiocese of Chicago.

This is the second time within a week that I am calling to pay my pledge but nobody answers the phone. The website says the office closes at 4:45; it is only 4:00PM. Why doesn't anyone answer? Don't you want your $$$?

dated february 2019 possibly cheryl only possibly the office computer looses power with out having a continuous source of power Rolling brown outs save on energy but the on off of the computer electronics do not hold up well . Another thought the office computer might not be updated to reflect CST or moved to an Eastern time zone.Big problem when carrrying computer work on a laptop work needs to stay within the office.Taking files from an office to work from home should be forbidden as with security files and medical records..At least that is what I was taught when I worked for several places. Sorry for your trouble the voicemail system is extremely frustrating playing telephone tag causes such waste of good ,honest people's time and good will.

Good day !! A question please, is it normal that in a Catholic church they discriminate against a child for being special (autism), especially in Cartesian classes, they want to get it out of me, what do I do?

lps blood paws Blood wolf | Oct 5, 2018
Suzan OROURKE | Oct 5, 2019

Februarry 23 2019 1. The Catholic Church ABSOLUTELY does NOT discrimate on the basis of any Disability at all. As far as Schools are concerned the Archdiocese ofChicago Is a Tuition based system that owes ,in good conscience, a peaceful , Free of stress , classroom environment for all the students who are in the class. BUT, there is or was an ILLINOIS state law that required the local public school in the same district to provide services for children with special needs...In reality, the public school system ,from my experience only, seemed to schedule those Special Needs students from the Catholic Schools If THE parents provided transpotation to and from the Catholic School and thePublic School. I AM NOT SUREif the diploma awarded for that student would be from the Catholic School or the Public School. I can only guess the teachers involved and principals would make that on an individual basis .

No, you need to get it from your actual school. If the school is closed, you need to contact the archives of the archdiocese.

How can I obtain baptism and other sacramental records if parish has closed?

Lynnaue Urban | Oct 5, 2018
Suzan OROURKE | Oct 5, 2019

February 23, 2019. That is a very very impotant Question .The Archdiocese of Chicago needs records of birth from a hospital Then parish Baptisimal records are made the following the sacraments one by one through Confirmation to be Married in the Catholic church. . All I can say if from personal experience that before I began teaching in the Catholic School system the records from all previous schools and sacraments were included before hiring me i in the fall of 1972.
