I see several doctors at Southeast and was, in fact, referred to Dr. Rusten by my primary care physician for vertigo and sinus cysts. First, I saw the audiologist, Carol Thiele, who was very nice. I was confused by my appt with her though since I had only recently seen an audiologist at Southeast for the vertigo assessment. So I called to see if there was a mistake and was told, “Oh no, those tests were different. If you don’t see our audiologist, you can’t see Dr. Rusten.” Oookkaaaay. So, my insurance had better pay for this, Southeast. After seeing the very nice audiologist I saw the very rude Dr. Rusten. My recent balance problems/vertigo were not mentioned at all. He told me my MRI was “underwhelming” and apparently the radiologist didn’t know how to read it because I didn’t actually have any cysts. He said my septum was straighter than his and argued that I should be able to breathe better out of the left side of my nose though that has never, ever been the case. This guy’s ego is greater than his skill and I left his office angry and intent on making sure none of my friends or family ever see this guy. He’s awful and he treats people like they’re stupid and I can assure you I am not. Seeing him was a complete waste of time and money. EDIT: The clinical note written by Dr. Rusten says my tonsils were normal. I don’t have tonsils.

I wish I could give Dr. Rustin & his nurses 10 stars they are the best! They were very thorough with me & was very awesome with my 3 year old! My son is terrified of doctors & Dr. Rustin made it a lot less intimidating for him! I highly recommend Dr. Rustin!!!
