I'm so sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I will need to know a few things. Was it in a safe? Was it in direct contact with the fire? How long was it subjected to heat? I realize it's hard to answer these questions, but I need an idea. Aluminum melts at around 1300°F. At 600°-700° it can and will lose half it's strength. Both metals can be annealed and hardened, but I have absolutely no way to test hardness. Bring it by when you get a chance and we can discuss it.
