No, it's mainly pine trees, which many are diseased or dying. County parks has a comprehensive reforestation plan and are slowly replacing the pine trees with hardier native trees, like coast live oak, sycamore, cypress and coast redwood trees.

It probably 1.5 miles if you run a large loop. You could run a figure 8 type route to make it about a 5 K circuit. Trails are well used, but not well marked, but you cant get lost as the park is bounded by streets.
